Collection of general data and information

When you access our website, your browser automatically transmits general data and information to our web server for technical reasons. This general data and information is stored in the server's log files. The following data is recorded: – web browser used (type and version) – operating system used – referrer URL, i.e., the last visited website – IP address of the accessing computer – date and time of your visit to our website – which subpages you accessed – amount of data sent – the amount of data transferred – other similar data and information that serves to prevent attacks on our IT systems.

We use this log data without associating it with your person or creating any other profile for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operating, securing and optimizing our online service, but also for anonymously recording the number of visitors to our online service (traffic) as well as the scope and type of use of our online service and our services.

The processing is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our online services. The data will not be shared or used for any other purpose. However, we reserve the right to subsequently review the server log files should there be concrete indications of unlawful use.

Personal data

You can generally access the homepage of our shop without disclosing your identity or providing any personal data. However, actual use is only possible after registration and login. If our online service offers the option to provide personal data, you do so expressly on a voluntary basis, for example, when you register on our website, log into an existing customer account, or order products. We will only use the data you voluntarily provide for the purpose for which you provided it.

Duration of storage of personal data

The duration for which personal data is stored is determined by the respective statutory retention period. After this period expires, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, unless it is still required for the performance of a contract or for initiating a contract, and/or we have a legitimate interest in its continued storage. If data must be deleted due to the exercise of rights of intervention (e.g., when asserting a right to erasure or withdrawing consent), it will be deleted immediately.

Encryption

Your personal data is transmitted to our servers via the internet using encryption. We use SSL encryption (Secure Socket Layer) for data transmission.

Disclosure of personal data to third parties

We generally only use your personal data for the purpose for which you provided it to us.
For the conclusion and processing of contracts for offers in our shop, we forward your personal data to our parent company, SYNAXON AG in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, for storage in central databases and for internal billing and accounting purposes. Various service providers work on our behalf for further contract processing, e.g., for payment and delivery of products, to whom we forward the data necessary for fulfilling their tasks.

Furthermore, we will not share your data with third parties without your explicit consent. Your personal data will only be shared if you have consented to the data transfer yourself, or if we are legally authorized or obligated to do so by law or by an official or court order. This may include, in particular, disclosure for the purposes of law enforcement, public safety, or the use of intellectual property rights.

registration

Our online service allows you to register by providing personal data. To complete and process orders, we require contact information such as your name, address, and email address. This data is entered into an input form, transmitted to us, and stored. Data processing during registration is based on your freely given consent in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter a of the GDPR. If your registration aims at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b of the GDPR.

Contact/ RMA request

When you contact us (e.g., via RMA request or email), we collect personal data. The specific data collected via a contact form is indicated on the form itself. In all cases, a valid email address is required so we know who the inquiry is from and can respond. Providing additional information is optional.

The data will be stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your request, contacting you, and for the associated technical administration.

Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is carried out in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter a GDPR on the basis of your freely given consent. If your contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b GDPR. Your data will be deleted after your request has been processed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Use of cookies

We use cookies on various pages. Cookies help make our website more user-friendly and effective. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device via your browser. Information is stored in the cookies that relates to the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we gain direct knowledge of your identity.

The right to information and the right to erasure are subject to the restrictions set out in Sections 34 and 35 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

If we process your personal data based on a balancing of interests due to our overriding legitimate interest, you have the right to object to this processing at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, with effect for the future. If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such marketing. If you exercise your right to object, we will cease processing the data in question for marketing purposes.

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time with effect for the future. In the event of withdrawal, we will delete the data concerned immediately, unless further processing is permitted by another legal basis that does not require consent. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
